Each socket is individually tested to IEC 60900 at 10,000 V, certifying it safe for use at the approved voltage of 1,000 V. The intelligent 2-component insulation design features a red outer VDE insulation layer with a yellow core beneath — if the outer layer is ever damaged, the yellow core becomes immediately visible, alerting the user to a compromised tool before it becomes a hazard. A protective plastic sleeve is included to guard sensitive surfaces against damage during use.
